What Shall I Render To You?

Lately, I’ve been drawn to the broken shells at the ocean’s edge. Even in brokenness, there is beauty.

“What Shall I Render?”

By Melanie Dorsey
What shall I render to You?
Like the mountains I melt in Your presence.
My inner parts laid bare.

What shall I render to You?
My roots are firmly planted.
Your pruning pains, yet a promise of fruit.

What shall I render to You?
In a desert, still there are hidden springs.
No mirage; It is You.

What shall I render to You?
Broken and fragmented.
In silence, lips move, “Beautiful.”

    Melanie,
This is lovely. We may want perfect and complete, but there is much beauty in brokenness.

His hope and healing are ever-present.

    Melanie:

I love this line… "In a desert, still there are hidden springs. No mirage; It is You."…

His hope peeks through, the springs are still there…

That is a beautiful truth – there is beauty in brokenness… and brokenness doesn't negate beauty.

    Much love to you~

Beautiful! In February, while at the beach I, too was drawn to the broken shells. I gathered some of them and brought them home…later I placed them in a basket on an old trunk in our bedroom. Every time I see them, I am reminded of how GOD polishes and works in and through the shattered pieces of my life.

    Blessings, hugs, and prayers,
