From Persistence to Endurance: A Faith That Endures
This is Melanie’s keynote message, born from a year of wrestling in her faith. The seed of the message was planted at the diagnosis of brain cancer in Melanie’s 12 year old son, Andrew. The germination process took many months and resulted in the fruit of a firm, unshakeable trust in the faithfulness of God and what He longs for in return from His children.
Dear Abba In the months following the death of her 12 year old son, Andrew, Melanie expressed her pain, doubt and confusion in writing “mourning” poetry and prayers to God. Patiently He waited to reveal Himself in a most unusual way to this mother’s grieving heart. In Dear Abba, Melanie shares how a sometimes hidden and silent God proved Himself to be enough.
A Holy Hunger to be Whole-ly His In this teaching, Melanie speaks to the hunger within all of us for more. Until we understand that the “more” is found only in an ever-deepening relationship with God, we will have an insatiable craving—one that leaves us empty still and unsatisfied. Melanie examines what she calls the never enough mindset and its cure found in the scriptural truth that “…God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever” (Psalm 73:26).
